Former PBB housemates-turned-partners, Tommy Esguerra and Miho Nishida, collectively known as Tomiho, stars in their first every movie, Foolish Love.

They may have already appeared in several Kapamilya shows, but doing their first movie together is a mix of both challenging yet fun experience for them. Despite feeling the pressure of being teamed up with some of the more experienced actors like Jake Cuenca and Angeline Quinto, the help and support of their co-actors and Direk Joel made them pull their first movie project off.

Direk Joel was also impressed with their acting and the chemistry that this real-life couple has. Lamangan assures the viewers that the pair is really good, they know what they do, and that they are true professionals. This is the first time they've worked together in a movie and the Foolish Love director were nothing but praises on the couple.

Tomiho also admitted that they had challenges with some of the scenes they did in the movie. Their kissing scene, as Miho described, is awkward at first. Not that they have not done it as a couple, but it's different when they have a lot of people watching them.

For Tommy, his most challenging scene is his confrontation with Miho's boss. In the scene, he was supposed to throw a punch at the guy, which is very difficult for him that's why they had to shoot the scene quite a number of times.

Makati City—January 20, 2017—Buddha-Bar Manila, a world-class bar that offers fine dining and entertainment experience, will celebrate its 5th anniversary with an evening of spectacular entertainment, heart-stopping music, exquisite wine, and non-stop dancing on Saturday, January 28, 2017.

The event dubbed “Cabaret Night” will feature live performances by the Silk Band, Can-Can Dancers, and Buddha-Bar’s Resident DJ Joseph Alturas. Former Myx VJ and Kulay Band member, Angel Jones will host the evening of festivities, which also coincides with the celebration of the Year of the Rooster.

The Orlando-based boyband, Before You Exit, is set to perform live on February 24, 2017 at the Kia Theatre, as part of their first Asian Tour.

The band began a few years ago with brothers Connor McDonough, (Vocals/Guitar) and Riley McDonough, (Vocals). Knowing they needed a little something more they brought in younger brother Toby, (vocals) to round out the group.

Working together has been easy, “We actually get along really well. We all have our thing and work in categories by preference,” Connor says. “I write vocal melodies, Riley writes lyrics, and Toby helps with both. We all do our own thing, but also contribute to each other.”

In 2015, the group signed to RCA Records, released their hit song “Model” and toured with the Vamps and co-headlined a European tour with Christina Grimmie. Since becoming a group, the brothers have garnered over 36 million views on YouTube.

In 2014, the group toured in support of their debut EP, I Like That. Aside from headlining shows all over the world, the group has supported Cody Simpson, Olly Murs and Fifth Harmony. Things started to heat up when the group was named the winners of the third annual “Macy’s iHeartRadio Rising Star” campaign, earning them a spot at the iHeartRadio Music Festival alongside such acts as Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Nicki Minaj, One Direction, and more. The trio also performed at the 2014 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and had 3 singles hit the Radio Disney charts.

Conjuring up the optimism in the band’s name—inspired by the sentiment “make a difference before you exit”— the band works daily to make their way to the top but they never fail to stop and appreciate what has got them thus far.

“There’s no way we’d be anywhere without our incredible fans. They are behind us every step of the way and are a huge piece of this band,” states youngest brother Toby. In light of the many short lived and fly by night artists, this young, singer/songwriting, brother driven band, is one to be around for a while.

The group just released their EP “All The Lights” in April 2016 via RCA Records. The 6-track EP features the single, “Model,” as well as 5 brand new tracks which includes “Clouds” and “When I’m Gone”.

Wicked flies back to Manila with a bigger and better production in store for everyone!

GMA Afternoon Prime presents Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa

The 1987 Ishmael Bernal masterpiece is coming back to life as GMA does a remake of Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa.

The modernized version of the hit 80's film revolves around the life of two women intertwined by lost love, which will be brought to life by top Kapuso artists Julie Anne San Jose as Santina, Benjamin Alves as Ephraim, Martin del Rosario as Kiko and LJ Reyes as Angeli.

Completing the powerhouse cast are Ara Mina as Mariz, Jean Garcia as Diony, Victor Neri as Cesar, Allan Paule as Hector, Geleen Eugenio as Yoleng, Janna Dominguez as Chona, and Lharby Policarpio as Boggs.

Julie Anne San Jose as Santina

Originally portrayed by Lorna Tolentino, Julie Anne is Santina, an orphaned girl who was forced to work hard after her aunt’s death. Later on, she will work in one of the restaurants of Diony played by Ms. Jean Garcia. Due to her kindness, Diony will send her to school and treat her as her own daughter.

LJ Reyes as Angeli

LJ, on the other hand, is Angeli, the role played by Maricel Soriano. She is homeless and is longing for a mother’s love. Diony will adopt Angeli and she will eventually help her in running the business.

Benjamin Alves as Ephraim

As Santina and Angeli’s worlds collide through Diony, the two will also vie for Ephraim’s love (Benjamin Alves). Ephraim is Diony’s son who blamed her for the death of his sister. At first, Angeli will see Ephraim as a competition but after an incident, she will fall secretly and obsessively in love with him. Ara Mina as Mariz, is Angeli's neglectful mother. Angeli is a product of rape that's why Mariz hates her daughter and left her with Diony.

Martin del Rosario as Kiko

Meanwhile, Santina and Ephraim are childhood best friends. Their friendship will eventually blossom into a romantic relationship. Known for getting everything she wants, Angeli will stop at nothing stop from getting not only Diony’s attention but also Ephraim’s love. But Santina is also willing to fight for herself and for the people she loves. In the end, who will get the love that she’s been hoping for? Santina or Angeli? And how are they supposed to fight for it when they’re just both pinulot lang sa lupa?

Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa is under helm of award-winning actress and director Gina Alajar together with second unit director Aya Topacio.

Behind this engrossing drama is the creative team composed of Creative Director Roy Iglesias; Creative Block Head Jake Tordesillas; Creative Consultant Aloy Adlawan; Headwriter Marlon Miguel; Writers John Kenneth de Leon, Maria Priscilla Hidalgo; Brainstormers Kenneth Angelo Enriquez, Gilda Olvidado-Marcelino, Roda Sulit Marino; Concept Creator Gilda Olvidado-Marcelino.

The program is another original creation of the GMA Drama group under the supervision of Senior Vice President for Entertainment TV Lilybeth G. Nickelodeon has officially announced the nominees for this year's Kids' Choice Awards and four lovely ladies from the Philippines made it to the list!

It's that time of the year again where kids all over the world rule as they pick their favorites in the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2017. This year's all-star list of nominees include Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Chris Evans, Megan Fox, Scarlett Johansson, Dwayne Johnson, Anna Kendrick, Bruno Mars, The Chainsmokers, Justin Timberlake, and a lot more.

From ballad to upbeat and pop-ish songs, James Wright is ready to show everyone that he's not just your ordinary crooner-next-door.

In his latest album entitled Just Wright, James somehow went off his comfort zone and tried a different genre. Of course, ballad is still present in his album, but apart from that, he also have upbeat songs and pop to offer.

The carrier single will be My Destiny, which is going to be the official theme song of the much awaited remake of Koreanovela, My Love From The Stars, starring Jennylyn Mercado and newcomer Gil Cuerva.

With a total of six songs composed by hitmakers and award-winning songwriters including Vehnee Saturno, Dodjie Simon, and Edmund Perlas, James shared that each track somehow brings him back memories and experiences. Ibig Bang Sabihin, just one of the songs in his album that he can very much relate to, transports him back to his highschool days where it's just about "kilig" and admiration.

Meant To Be at Enchanted Kingdom

A month since it first aired last January, the Meant To BE cast (Barbie Forteza, Ken Chan, Jak Roberto, Ivan Dorschner, and Addy Raj) can't thank everyone enough for the huge success of the show. With their storyline targeting the young audience on a late timeslot, the reaction of the viewers and the high ratings that they are getting overwhelmed the cast and tripled their expectations.

Despite having different personalities, Barbie didn't have difficulties dealing with his four leading men in the show. Even when off cam, these guys went along together really well for having the same trips and interests: movies and food.

The show had their share of both positive and negative comments and tweets from the viewers and fandoms. When your show is becoming popular and engaging, people tend to be so into it and hope their bets would end up together eventually. So when asked who will Billie end up with, Barbie instead left a message to the avid viewers of the series, "Sana huwag 'nyo po isipin na binabalewala namin ang tweets and comments ng audience and ng fans kasi malaking factor po talaga 'yon. During the fun day with the Meant To Be cast at Enchanted Kingdom, we asked the boys how important it is for their characters to win Billie's heart. And here's what each has to say:

Jai Patel (Addy Raj): "I don't think it is...I feel like there's no hope." [So is Jai already giving up on Billie? Is it because of Mariko (played by Mika dela Cruz)? Or is it because Jai doesn't really have feelings for Billie at all? That's what we all have to find out as their story progress]

Yuan Lee (Ken Chan): "'...'yung sa akin, ang bottomline is hindi boring. Challenging." [That's him pertaining to his love-hate relationship with Billie]

Andoy dela Cruz (Jak Roberto): "Dahil maraming torpe ang nabibigyan ng pag-asa, 'di ba?"

Ethan Spencer-Hughes (Ivan Dorschner): "In the end, that's what Billie needs (insert awkward pause)..."

Last February 10, a 6.7 magnitude earthquake struck Surigao and the province suffered massive damages amounting to an estimated ₱601.8 million. Residents panicked as the quake left two major bridges down, damaged buildings and infrastractures, and electricity and water supply on affected areas were stopped.

As the government immediately responded to the disaster victims, some private companies also offered quick assistance to the families. Coca-Cola, one of the biggest beverage companies in the country, immediately sent aid in the form of a vital resource--safe and clean drinking water.

On February 11 – the day after the quake, 100,000 worth of Wilkins Distilled water were unloaded at Surigao City Hall. The drinking water was distributed through the efforts of the local government, with the assistance of Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines pre-sellers, 301B personnel of the Philippine Army, and the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

In addition to the products, Coca-Cola Philippines, Coca-Cola FEMSA Philippines, and the Coca-Cola Foundation are working with the local government of Surigao for the deployment of the SETA Potable Water Machine – a mobile drinking water facility with the capability to treat and produce 3000 l/h of potable drinking water a day – to sustainably ease the community's need for this resource, and will continue to support the rehabilitation efforts in the province.

Days after her actual birthday, Joyce Ching spent a day with her fans at the Jump Yard in Pasig to celebrate with them. Fans are really grateful for her being an inspiration to them. According to Joyce, being close to her fans is like her way of thanking them for their support and love. Everyone was so game that some of them even performed an impromptu dance number infront of their idol.

Also present during that day is her dear friend, Kristoffer Martin. Despite his busy schedule, Kristoffer made time to spend with Joyce and her fans as she celebrate her very special day.

Remember the viral videos released by Jollibee last month? Netizens raved over these heart-melting and tear-jerking videos as it tackles different kinds of love that is very timely and relatable.

The VOW, a story about a guy and his girl bestfriend whom he met in a Jollibee store and has always been there for her no matter what, shows the unconditional love that anyone can give without the hopes of getting reciprocated.

CRUSH, on the other hand, is a feel good story of a guy who secretly admires this young pretty lady way back in highschool. His subtle way of showing his love and (secretly) cheering up the girl through the sticky notes on a burger paved his way to their love story's happy ending.

DATE, my most favorite video of all three, shows a son preparing a surprise Valentine dinner for his mother as instructed by his dad through a video. The ending is just heartbreaking yet comforting at the same time knowing that their love for each other is truly undying.

As soon as the videos were released, people just can't get enough of it that it reached millions and millions of shares on different social media platforms. Even foreign vloggers couldn’t escape the phenomenal reach of Jollibee’s viral shorts.

Strategically located within a busy area along Sumulong Highway in Antipolo buds a new restaurant that offers good food and a nice overlooking view of greens and mountains.

A dear friend of mine, Rodel, invited me and Ruth for a lunch at this newest restaurant in Antipolo where Pinoy favorites such as barbecue, sisig, and pancit are their specialties. Since I'm just a few minutes away from the place, I didn't have second thoughts anymore.

With it's catchy menu names, plus the adaptation of the language of millenials like hugot lines and 'bes', not to mention its affordable prices, Kalye BBQ will surely be a hit among the young crowd especially that it is just beside a university.

Among the items we've tried, I specially liked their BBQ de Budbod, Walang Ka-Pares, and Kalye Chicken BBQ. Their Kalye Adobo Flakes, This is it! Pancit, and other barbecue varieties are also a must-try!

They also have several options for beverages. Since I'm a huge coffee lover, I had their Kape Jelly-cious, which is basically a coffee jelly. Forever Blue Lemonada is just as equally good. And, weird as it may seem, Makulet na Violet, a carbonated water with gummy candies, is surprisingly refreshing and something worth trying too!

Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa

GMA-7 offers a compelling drama to its Afternoon Prime block with one of Regal Films’ blockbuster movies in 1987 Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa. Set to premiere on January 30, the series is headlined by Julie Anne San Jose, Benjamin Alves, Martin del Rosario and LJ Reyes. With equally important roles are Ara Mina and Ms. Jean Garcia. Joining them are Victor Neri, Allan Paule, Geleen Eugenio, Lharby Policarpio. Directed by Gina Alajar, Pinulot Ka Lang Sa Lupa tackles the life struggles of two women intertwined by lost love. Showcasing a story of love, triumph and forgiveness is the original Afternoon Prime series Legally Blind. Kapuso actress Janine Gutierrez tackles her most challenging and mature role as a rape victim who gets blind and who will become a lawyer to seek justice from her perpetrator. She will be paired with two of the Network’s talented leading men: Mikael Daez, Rodjun Cruz. Adding star power to the Afternoon Prime soap are Chanda Romero, Lauren Young, Marc Abaya. Legally Blind is under the helm of actor and TV director Ricky Davao with Christine Novicio as head writer and Redgynn Alba as program manager.

Another intriguing drama that will surely make the viewers’ glued to their televisions screens is the remake of the successful TV series Impostora. It is also the first GMA-produced TV drama adapted by a foreign country. This soap tells the story Nimfa, an ugly street vendor who willingly undergoes surgery and complete facial reconstruction to pretend to be Rosette, a wealthy and beautiful but unhappily married wife seeking to escape her husband. This highly controversial drama is top billed by Kapuso versatile leading lady Kris Bernal and playing opposite her are versatile actors Rafael Rosell and Ryan Eigenmann. Musical theater, be it from West End, Broadway, or anywhere around the globe, has always been a big hit among theater lovers in the country. We've already seen some of the bests like Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, Wicked, and The Phantom of the Opera, just to name a few, and there's so much more to see out there.

This 2017, we are yet to witness three great musicals of all time as they bring the entire production to Manila for a very limited run we shouldn't definitely miss.

Sister Act the Musical runs from June 27 to July 19, 2017 at The Theatre at Solaire.

West Side Story

Inspired by Shakespeare's tumultuous love story Romeo and Juliet, and set amidst the vicious rivalry of teenage gangs in the 1950s New York, WEST SIDE STORY's ground-breaking choreography and unforgettable score changed the face of musical theatre for ever when it burst unto the broadway stage in 1957.

WEST SIDE STORY packs a powerful punch, both dramatically and musically. The movie version went on to win an incredible 10 Oscars (including Best Picture) and further cemented the reputation of this undoubted masterpiece.

The West Side Story is set to open on August 10 at The Theatre at Solaire.

The Sound of Music

The Sound of Music West End Production

This lavish and critically-acclaimed production tells the uplifting true story of Maria, the fun-loving governess who changeds the lives of the widowed Captain Von Trapp and his seven children by re-introducing them to music, culminating in the family's flight across the Austrian mountains as tensions rise prior to the outbreak of World War II.

The London West End Production of The Sound of Music is coming to Manila this September 27 at The Theatre at Solaire.
